Representatives from the world of work are convening remotely during the first ever virtual International Labour Conference. Follow the Conference as it unfolds.

The impact of COVID-19 on the world of work and how to ensure an inclusive, sustainable and resilient recovery, dominated the June segment of the first virtual International Labour Conference. The second segment of the Conference, to be held from 25 November to 11 December, will discuss the issue of inequality and the world of work, as well as skills and lifelong learning.

The pandemic has revealed the urgency of putting in place universal social protection to enable an inclusive recovery response to the COVID-19 crisis. The 109th Session of the International Labour Conference made social protection a strategic priority for the ILO's 187 member States. Read the full report here.

ILO member States made extensive use of "peak-level" social dialogue to shape emergency measures for mitigating the socio-economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic.
